Sales swell at Bridesnbumps

Maternitywear retailer Does My Tum Look Big In This? has reported a 107% year-on-year rise in maternity wedding dress sales as the number of brides opting to walk up the aisle pregnant increases.

The business, which was founded by wedding dress designer Natalie Gladman in 2002, has beaten sales targets three times in the past five weeks as more customers flock to the website – – and its bricks and mortar store in Farnborough, Hampshire.

Gladman also runs a success-ful maternity dress hire business for women needing an outfit for a formal, corporate or social event. A spokeswoman for the hire business said: “As the credit crunch hits, more women are choosing to hire rather than buy. Sales are up 153% year-on year.”

The hire business operates through a number of agents in the UK, who stock and distribute the outfits.

Brands at include Nicole Michelle and Tiffany Rose. Maternity bridesmaid dresses are also available.
