Sales up 15% at H&M

H&M Group has reported a 15% rise in sales for the month of January compared to 2013.

The total number of stores increased by 376 to 3,184 shops for the year to January 31.

For the year to November 30, the group reported flat like-for-like sales, although total group sales rose 6% to SEK128.5bn (£11.9bn) for the year, while pre-tax profit edged up 1.7% to SEK17.2bn (£1.6bn).

H&M plans to open a further 375 stores in the coming year, launching in Australia, India and the Philippines for the first time.
