Luxury group LVMH said comparable sales of its fashion lines grew 14% for the first nine months of the year taking total fashion sales to EUR 4 billion (£2.79 bn) for the period.
Group organic growth which is equivalent to like-for-like growth and measures sales under a comparable structure and at constant exchange rates, was up 13% to EUR 11.4 bn (£7.95bn) for the period. Like-for-like growth in the third quarter rose 15%, which the group attributed mostly to a strong performance of the Louis Vuitton brand.
LVMH added that Louis Vuitton recorded double-digit like-for-like growth during the first nine months of 2007, with the group performing well in Europe, the US and Asia.
Other brands, including Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Givenchy and Loewe, were also reported to have performed well during the period.
