Luxury fashion group LVMH third-quarter sales increased 6% to €9.14bn (£8.3bn), beating analysts’ predictions of €8.92bn (£8bn).

The firm said perfume and beauty performed particularly well, and added that there was a “significant improvement” in Asian markets.

Fashion houses within the LVMH group include Louis Vuitton, Céline, Fendi and shirt-maker Thomas Pink.
