Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker has left her role at luxury womenswear label Halston after just 18 months in the position.
Parker was bought in as president and chief creative officer of Halston Heritage in January last year and also took an equity stake in the fashion house. According to reports she has now left Halston, although there has been no official comment from either Parker or the label.
At the time Parker said: “I think this is a brand new kind of business model and it illustrates how serious I am about this position. I think it’s wonderful to feel invested in something.”
Parker was known to be close to chief executive officer Bonnie Takhar also left the company last November.
In April it was reported that Halston had bought in an investment bank to explore future options for the brand, potentially including a cash injection or even a new owner.
