Scholarships available for retail management courses

Scholarships are available for full and half-funded places on the Oxford Summer School’s foundation and academy courses later this year.

Charity Retail Trust is offering the financial support to managers from small and medium-sized retail businesses.

Funding of up to £1,995 is available for a residential course held from July 13-17 at St Catherine’s College in Oxford, which aims to help delegates in their first or second management role to develop the skills needed to ensure their team meets the organisation’s targets and standards.

Retail managers can also apply for up to £2,495 for a course held from August 22-28 at the same location, which is focused on developing their ability to manage merchandise, finance, people, marketing and the relationship between the different retail channels.

The prestigious Oxford Summer School was founded in 1923 by the Drapers Chamber of Trade and now falls under the banner of the British Independent Retailers Association. Its master’s school is not part of this scholarship programme.

Interested parties should contact Neil Moss or Lisa Nicholls at Oxford Summer Council or 01295 713391.
