Schuh staff to share £25m payout after hitting targets

Footwear retailer Schuh will share a £25m payout among almost 3,500 employees after a successful last few years, as profits reached £11.5m for the year to February 1, 2015.

When US footwear manufacturer Genesco acquired Schuh in 2011 for £125m it was agreed that a bonus scheme should be put in place to reward staff if targets were met over a four-year period.

Sales are up 7.6% at Schuh to £247.5m and the business opened 12 new stores this year.
