Scoop to relocate spring 17 shows

Scoop will relocate its spring 17 shows from the Saatchi Gallery in London, which has been booked for a Rolling Stones exhibition running from April to September next year.

Organisers said a new venue for the spring 17 editions of contemporary womenswear trade shows Scoop International and Scoop London, which are due to take place in August and September 2016 respectively, will be announced shortly.

“This is a very particular set of circumstances due to the huge Rolling Stones exhibition and we have a great relationship with the Saatchi Gallery, which will be hosting the January and February 2016 editions of the shows and the fairs in 2017,” said a spokesman for Scoop.

“We are close to confirming a new, very exciting location for next summer.”

Scoop International showcases primarily international contemporary collections, while second show Scoop London features international designer collections, first and second lines and collections from emerging British designers. The latter was launched this year to run alongside London Fashion Week.

Exhibitionism, which is the first international exhibition on the Rolling Stones’ 50-year history, will take over two floors of the Saatchi Gallery from April 5 to September 4, 2016.

Consumer-facing LFW spin-off London Fashion Weekend, which is moving to the Saatchi Gallery for its next edition on September 24-27, 2015, is understood to have booked the venue from September 11-22 next year.
