Scooter courier service launched for returns

Shoppers in central London will be able to have their returns collected by scooter-riding couriers as part of a new partnership between CollectPlus and on-demand delivery service Gett Delivery.

Couriers will collect unwanted items from customers in Zones 1 and 2 from an address of their choice, before delivering it back into the CollectPlus network within an hour.

Unwanted purchases from 300 retailers, including John Lewis, New Look and Asos, can be returned as part of the service, which will later be extended to cover Zone 3.

To use the service, customers will be able to download the Gett app and select the CollectPlus returns option. Their returns will be collected with 10 minutes of ordering the service, which costs £1.95 and is available seven days a week from 9am to 11pm.

Matthew Jacques, director of strategic partnerships at CollectPlus, said: “For those living or working in London time is at a premium. People often don’t have time to head out on their lunch break or swing by their local CollectPlus point to return unwanted items.”
