Scott Nichol plans ecommerce store

Heritage sock brand Scott Nichol has launched its first ever website ahead of plans to sell online from the second quarter of 2015.

The business, which produces made-in-England socks for men and women, will add a store option to the platform by July.

Chief executive Justin Hall said: “In truth we would have ideally had a full website running before now, but we have been concentrating on yarn and sock developments. The socks are now selling themselves so we have the time to focus on a website and start telling our sock story directly to the consumer.”

Scott Nichol has more than 40 UK stockists including Harrods, Bentalls, Fortnum & Mason, and around 70 in the US, including upmarket retailer Nordstrom.
