Nautical footwear brand Sebago is to open its first store in London later this year.
The 1,064sq ft store, spread over two flooes, at 78 Regent Street is due to open in November and will house a yacht-inspired staircase with inset portholes to give the store a nautical feel.
The brand, whose parent company Wolverine also owns footwear brands CAT Footwear, Hush Puppies and Merrell, opened its first wholly owned UK standalone store on Union Street in Bath in March (pictured) and the London store will be its second wholly owned store.
The brand also owns a franchise store in Cowes on the Isle of Wight in a joint venture with sailing specialist indie Aquatogs.
Sebago has 250 UK stockists split between lifestyle indies and marine specialists. It also operates shop-in-shops in indies Macsamillion in Oxford and Yachtmail in Lymington, Hampshire, and is seeking additional shop-in-shop hosts.
Sebago already has 45 standalone stores in Europe and the Middle East.
