A second Asda director has left the business following a change of job role after a major reshuffle at the supermarket.
Karl Martin was named as one of three directors who would run the re-organised food business at Asda just two weeks ago. However, according to the Mail on Sunday, he “changed his mind” and resigned the following day.
Martin was formerly responsible for fresh food and was given responsibility for convenience stores and new markets.
He is the second director to leave following the departure of Colin Hill, commercial director for grocery trading and food merchandising, who left after five years with the firm as part of the reshuffle.
