Selfridges invests £40m in multichannel

Selfridges has announced it will spend £40m on its multichannel strategy within the next five years, starting with today’s relaunch of

Selfridges said 60% of its online customers access the site through smartphones and tablets, so it has been redesigned to suit a person’s finger rather than a computer cursor.

The wider investment, which Selfridges said would “help to strengthen and future proof its multichannel business”, will also be used to improve its click-and-collect services and international deliveries.
