Selfridges to launch first sleepsuit for men

Department store group Selfridges is launching Britain’s first sleepsuit for men in response to what it claims is a growing demand for all-in-one pyjamas.

The Man-Gro, so-called because it is based on baby grows normally worn by newborns, is priced at £95 and is available in either charcoal grey or red. It has been introduced to give men a comfortable option to ensure a good night’s sleep.

According to the Sunday Express, sales of men’s nightwear have risen 80% year-on-year at Selfridges and it is expected that the Man-Gro will lead to a raft of copycat versions from supermarkets and value clothes stores.

Mithun Ramanandi, menswear buyer at Selfridges, said: “The Man-Gro is comfortable, soft and the most practical solution to ensure a restful night’s sleep.

“Women have enjoyed the daytime fashion for all-in-ones for many seasons so it was about time we offered something nice for men that doesn’t come with a batman mask.”

  • Ruth - incorrect facts. I saw mens versions of these all-in-one sleep suits in Primark Bristol LAST YEAR, even had camouflage pattern and tiget print!! A simple Ebay search will show you the primark version. For once the "value retailers" are being copied.
