Selfridges womenswear director to join Proenza Schouler

US designer label Proenza Schouler has appointed Judd Crane, director of womenswear and accessories at Selfridges, as its new chief executive.

Crane will leave Selfridges in August and succeed interim CEO Ron Frasch in early September.

Crane joined Selfridges as director of womenswear in February 2012 from Hong Kong-based department store Lane Crawford. Accessories was added to his remit in 2014.

Before that, he was senior merchandising director at Pedder Group, the accessories division of Asian retail group Lane Crawford, in Hong Kong.

Selfridges said a replacement was yet to be confirmed.
