The MP, who co-authored the damning report into the downfall of BHS, has written to the head of the SFO asking them to launch an inquiry into the ownership of the department store.

Green has threatened to take legal action against Field in relation to allegations he made on a radio interview earlier this week.

The Arcadia boss said he was “sad and sorry” for the thousands of BHS staff facing redundancy but added “I do not believe that this story is being in any way fairly portrayed.”
