Shoe Studio’s Egan to join Dune

Former Shoe Studio Group boss John Egan is understood to have been lined up as chief executive of Dune, the fashion footwear chain.

Egan, who left his role as chief operating officer at Shoe Studio Group in March, is expected to make driving Dune’s concession business his priority.

Dune has more than 40 standalone stores and concessions within John Lewis and Debenhams. Egan already has strong links with department stores, which he developed during his eight years at footwear concession business Shoe Studio Group.

Daniel Rubin, majority owner of Dune, is expected to remain as chairman of the company.

Egan left Shoe Studio Group 18 months after it was acquired by Mosaic Fashions. No one from Dune was available for comment. Egan was also unavailable for comment.
