Footwear retailer Shoe Zone has reportedly tabled a bid to buy rival Brantano, after the brand filed notice of its intention to appoint administrators last week.
The business joins Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Pavers in circling the retailer for a potential buy out. According to Sky News, Shoe Zone is one of the final bidders for Brantano, with a deal for a sale potentially being wrapped up by the end of the week.
Brantano filed notice of intention to appoint administrators following sister brand Jones Bootmaker earlier the same week. Both sales are however being dealt with separately.
Shoe Zone has declined to comment on the reports.
