Designer etailer Shopbop.com is launching a menswear site this autumn.
East Dane was created following “weekly demands” from customers and vendors for a men’s offering, and will go live on September 3.
The website will stock a range of contemporary and denim brands including Rag & Bone, Gant, Public School, J Brand, and Levi’s, as well as featuring personalised product recommendations created through integrating a customers’ browsing history with items chosen by the site’s fashion team.
Bryan LaVine joins as senior menswear buying from US department store Barneys, where he has been a buyer since 2004. Stephanie Park joins the site as head of menswear buying from Reed Krakoff where she was Director of Design Management.
Darcy Penick, chief merchandising officer for Shopbop and East Dane said: “We see East Dane as Shopbop’s other half, and will evaluate our merchandise assortment in the same way to be consistent in price and serviceability with that customer.
Last September Shopbop overhauled its website and launched a version in Mandarin.
A Russian site will be launched next week.
