Shortlist unveiled for Drapers Fashion Awards 2011

The fashion sector’s top performers have been rewarded today with a place on the newly-released shortlist for the 2011 Drapers Fashion Awards.

Finalists were selected across a range of categories by a panel of expert Drapers journalists in what proved to be a highly competitive field of entrants from across the fashion spectrum.

The awards, due to take place this year at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane on November 16th, celebrate the very best in today’s fast moving fashion retail business, from the newest indie to the most successful multiple operator and recognise the talent behind the business success stories.

The Drapers team will be visiting and researching all the shortlisted finalists over the coming weeks before the final judging sessions in October bring together a panel of well-known fashion heavyweights to hear the evidence and choose the winners.

Caroline Nodder, Drapers editor in chief, said: “To have made it through to this stage is a major achievement for all the finalists and they should be very proud of themselves and their teams for getting this far. But now the hard work begins as the Drapers team travel the length and breadth of the country gathering the evidence that will inform our expert panel in choosing this year’s winners. I look forward to welcoming our finalists and indeed a good many of my industry colleagues to the awards in November to hear the results announced.”

The shortlists for the Drapers Awards brand categories will be released shortly.
