Simon Carter to roll out Indian franchise stores

British menswear business Simon Carter has launched its first franchise stores in India.

Three Indian stores have been opened with franchise partner Madura, the first of which launched in Mumbai in Phoenix Market City.

The brand plans to open a total of 10 stores in India before the end of the year.

The stores are contemporary and bright, and stock clothing, accessories and watches. The products in the Indian store have been created under licence by Madura according to the brand’s guidelines to ensure prices are competitive in the Indian market.

Simon Carter, founder of the eponymous brand, said: “I believe India suits Simon Carter and Simon Carter will most definitely suit India, with its high-quality, witty and eclectic style of dressing for modern Indian men. My inspiration comes from the world around me and my line for India is hugely inspired by India, its everyday things, places, boundless spirit and its heart-warming people.”

Vishak Kumar, CEO of Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, added: “The addition of Simon Carter is a part of our strategic intent to grow our international portfolio, significantly contributing in consolidating our position in the affordable luxury space, giving our discerning customers a true taste of high-end fashion.”
