Sinstar sets sail to new European markets

Streetwear brand Sinstar is to extend its global reach after taking on four new distributors for autumn 13.

The young fashion label already sells to stockists in Greece and Holland but for autumn 13 the brand will be distributed into Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France.

Managing director Sam Bell said: “We’re looking at setting up in the US and Australia as well - these are part of bigger plans in the pipeline.”

Sinstar’s UK revenues currently match those from outside the country, but Bell expects international sales to outpace domestic growth as the brand launches into new markets.

“With the four new distributors, including five agents in France, we expect to grow significantly,” said Bell.

The brand, which has 70 UK stockists including Asos, young fashion indies Fallen Hero in Scunthorpe and Urban Celebrity in Newcastle, sits alongside young fashion labels such as Religion.

For autumn 13 Sinstar’s collection includes dark “controversial” prints on graphic T-shirts, knitwear, parka jackets and camouflage coats.
