Sir Philip Green ‘paying PR firm £20,000 a week’ to save reputation

Sir Philip Green is paying PR firm Maitland up to £20,000 a week in a bid to save his reputation, it has been reported.

Sources told The Sunday Times that is the amount Green is paying Maitland to “spin away the BHS pensions scandal”, although chief executive Neil Bennett disputed the figure.

It comes as BHS’s flagship on London’s Oxford Street closed on Saturday. The final tranche of stores are set to close on August 20.
