Sixty Group’s MD resigns

Sixty Group UK managing director Theo Spierings resigned last week.
Spierings, who had been head of the Miss Sixty, Killah and Energie brands for two years, told Drapers that he would pursue new interests. “We mutually decided to part as some things don’t work out, but I hope to stay in the industry,” he said.

A Sixty Group spokesman said the company was close to replacing Spierings. “A selection process is under way for a very-high profile professional and we believe we will soon reach a second stage of negotiations,” he said.

In a separate move, Sixty UK said it would refurbish its head office in King’s Cross, north London to coincide with the £800 million refurbishment of the nearby St Pancras station.

Renovations will begin in the New Year, with the project due to be completed for the spring 09 selling season.

Miss Sixty also runs seven UK shops, including three in London, two in Manchester and one in Glasgow.
