Smyth & Gibson puts its shirt on wholesale launch

Shirtmaker Smyth & Gibson will re-enter the wholesale market next year, following a £500,000 investment into its manufacturing site in Derry, Northern Ireland. The investment has boosted production by about 70%, enabling production of 1,000 shirts a week. The firm aims to have at least five wholesale accounts in the UK and Republic of Ireland in 2008, plus five in Europe.
