Sole Trader invests £1.5m in store revamp

Footwear retailer Sole Trader has invested £1.5m in refurbishing its store portfolio across the UK.

Since December six stores have been revamped in Cambridge, Sutton, Aberdeen, Chester, Canterbury and Cribbs Causeway. Another four have been earmarked for the coming months.

A total of 18 stores now carry the new store fit, designed by London firm Brinkworth, including Westfield London, Covent Garden, Bluewater Trafford Centre and Birmingham Bullring.

Derrick Hoyle, buying controller at the business, said: “For us, this is exactly the right time to be investing aggressively.”
