Spanish retailer El Ganso takes King's Road store

Spanish lifestyle retailer El Ganso has signed for a store at 94 King’s Road in Chelsea.

El Ganso, which has 70 stores in its homeland, is taking the unit previously occupied by hosiery retailer Tabio. It was advised by Harper Dennis Hobbs, while landlord Cadogan Estate was advised by CBRE.

The store, which will focus on the menswear and kidswear ranges, will open in July and is located opposite fellow Spanish fashion business Bimba y Lola.

It will be El Ganso’s third UK store, following its debut on Carnaby Street in 2012 and a Neal Street branch last year.

Charlie Farr, UK and European retail property consultant at Harper Dennis Hobbs, said: “El Ganso has focused its UK expansion mainly towards young and trendy retail locations. The latest opening in the King’s Road is a natural addition to its portfolio.”
