Underwear giant Spanx’s chief executive Laurie Ann Goldman has left the company.
Goldman, who joined Spanx in 2002, is leaving to seek other opportunities outside the company. It is understood that she will be replaced in the interim by shoe executive Gregg Ribatt.
Ribatt is currently president and chief executive of the performance and lifestyle department of Collective Brands, which owns footwear labels including Airwalk, Dexter, SmartFit and Brash.
Prior to his role at Collective Brands, Ribatt was president and chief executive of Stuart Weitzman. He also is a member of the Crocs board and the Spanx Advisory Board.
Ribatt will assist Spanx in the search for Goldman’s replacement, according to WWD.
Spanx is sold in more than 50 countries and has recently moved into swimwear, active wear, jeans and men’s underwear.
