Sports Direct will open a new store in the St Mark’s Centre in Lincoln on November 15.
The 14,337 sq ft store, which will create 15 casual jobs, will showcase sportswear, footwear and sports equipment, with dedicated areas for running, outdoor, football and golf.
A spokesman for Sports Direct said: “We are delighted to be opening our new store in Lincoln. As our company continues to grow throughout the UK, our ethos has never changed in that we offer our customers the biggest brands in all types of sportswear, footwear and sports equipment at low prices.”
About 20,000 of Sports Direct’s 23,000 staff across its 400 UK stores are employed on zero-hours contracts. The retailer recently settled a legal battle with a former employee, which means it will have to spell out the details of the contracts and make it clear staff are not guaranteed work.
