Burberry’s new chief operating and financial officer Julie Brown will start her role on 18 January, replacing CFO Carol Fairweather, who is leaving the firm after more than a decade.
Burberry announced last July that Brown would join the firm, but did not have a date.
Fairweather, who has been CFO at Burberry since 2013, will step down from her role on the same date. She joined Burberry in June 2006 and previously held the position of senior vice president, group finance.
Brown was most recently CFO at global medical technology business Smith and Nephew.
At Burberry she will report to newly appointed chief executive Marco Gobbetti, who will join the brand from Celine at a yet to be named date.
