Start-rite makes raft of new appointments

Footwear brand Start-rite has bolstered its sales team with three new hirings as the brand sets its sights on boosting sales growth and brand awareness.

Start-rite has hired Pip McFadyen as business manager for London, Suffolk and Norfolk. McFadyen joins the brand having previously worked with labels including Ecco, Rockport and Josef Seibel.

Ben Waldren, formerly of clothing brand Canterbury Rugby, has also joined the Start-rite team and is the new business manager for the Midlands, South West of England and Wales.

The new local representative for retailers in the South East and Essex is Glenn Colman. Colman has already taken up his post and joined the children's footwear brand having worked with businesses including Fila and Perry Ellis.

David Attwood, Start-rite joint managing director, said: "The combined experience of all our business managers and their understanding of the market will help us to boost sales and brand awareness among customers, as well as contribute positively to future product development."
