Stella McCartney relaunches UK website

Stella McCartney, the premium womenswear label, has launched a revamped transactional website in the UK.

The website, at, sells items from Stella McCartney’s ready-to-wear, accessories and lingerie collections. The site has a host of new features including a ‘shop by look’ function, recommendations by the designer at ‘Stella’s Picks’, and a ‘Private Wardrobing’ service similar to that offered in the designer’s flagship stores where a personalised shopping service is available.

Items can either be delivered or reserved online to be picked up at a store.

A section called ‘Stella’s World’ provides what the company calls, “a comprehensive view into the brand” with photos, quotes, interviews and news. There is further information on McCartney’s favourite charities and the site links to Adidas by Stella McCartney and the recently launched Stella McCartney Kids.

A new ipad application will also become available in the near future. The redesigned website, which has also relaunched in the US, will expand into eight undisclosed European countries by spring next year.

Stella McCartney operates 13 stores around the world including a flagship in London and has around 600 wholesale accounts globally. The label is owned by the Gucci Group, itself part of luxury goods group PPR.
