Stella McCartney is to partner with Italian textile manufacturer ISA for a new swimwear and lingerie range for spring 19.

The licencing deal will see the collection made from 45% recycled materials, including recycled nylon and Econyl yarn.

According to McCartney the range combines classic silhouettes and form flattering shapes paired with new prints and colours for a “refreshing approach to seasonal swim and lingerie”.

McCartney said: “I always want to encourage women to feel confident and comfortable about themselves and in what they are wearing, lingerie and swimwear are a big part of that.  It’s quite a personal and intimate item to design.”

Chief executive of ISA  Mila Zegna said: “Together our goal in this unique partnership is to support the brand DNA, core values and social responsibility beliefs thanks to a team that leverages our product know-how, luxury market knowledge and a dedicated sales strategy”

The Stella McCartney lingerie collection initially launched in 2008 and now also includes sleepwear.

Women’s swim was launched in 2016 and men’s swim followed in 2018.
