Steven Rendle to succeed Wiseman as VF Corp CEO

Roles are shifting at the clothing and footwear company.

Steven Rendle, president and chief operating officer at VF Corporation, will succeed Eric Wiseman as chief executive of the firm from 1 January 2017.

Rendle will become president and CEO, while Wiseman will continue to serve as executive chairman on VF’s board of directors.

“Steve is the right person to serve as VF’s next CEO as we begin our 118th year of business,” Wiseman said. “We’ve been working since 2008 to identify and prepare the right person to succeed me when the time comes. That time is now.”

US-based VF owns brands including The North Face, Vans, Timberland, Wrangler, Lee and Nautica.
