Strenesse hires Natalie Acatrini

German contemporary label Strenesse has named former head of design at Jil Sander as its new creative director.

Natalie Acatrini takes up the position from today (February 1) and her first collection for the brand will be spring 14. She will be responsible for the entire Strenesse brand covering womenswear, menswear and accessories.

Acatrini has previously held roles including head of design at Jil Sander and she developed the Natalie Acatrini line under the Escada group as well as working as a freelance consultant for various brands.

Chief executive Luca Strehle said: “In Natalie Acatrini, we have found a creative director who combines internationally defined creativity with a true feeling for the needs of the market. We have consciously filled the top creative position with someone who brings a great deal of experience from similarly structured companies and has the sensitivity to embody Strenesse and creatively develop a brand like Strenesse.”
