Strong Christmas sales at TFG London

TFG London, the owner of Phase Eight, Whistles, Hobbs and Damsel in a Dress, had a 4.7% year on year increase in sales in December, underpinned by strong post-Black Friday trade and an “excellent” response to the launch of its end of season Sale.

In the first nine months of the year like-for-like sale at TFG London were up 3.5% on 2017, while total sales jumped 42%.

Ben Barnett, chief executive of TFG London, said: “The positive sales momentum that we have seen throughout the year to date has continued through our Christmas trading period and into the launch of Sale. In a challenging market environment, it is the strength of our brand teams in store and at head office that differentiates us from our peer group, and our continued growth is testament to their hard work and dedication.”

Lee Harlow, managing director of TFG London, added: “Despite a weak underlying market, I firmly believe that the operational strength of our brands, together with that of our balance sheet, will continue to present us with opportunities for growth. We are optimistic about the full year and the next phase of our brands’ development.”
