Strong spring sales boost Zalando’s revenues

Etailer Zalando expects first quarter revenues to increase by between 27% and 29% to €635m (£455m) and €648m (£464m) following a strong start to the spring season.

Revenue was €501m (£359m) a year ago.

Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes is expected to be between €25m (£17m) and €39m (£27m) compared with a loss of €23m (£16m) in 2014.

Rubin Ritter, a director at the business, said: “We achieved our best ever first quarter performance, a testimony to the great team effort resulting in a strong growth momentum for the company. Especially, the performance in March was very encouraging.”
