Stylistpick receives investment boost

Online accessories specialist Stylistpick.com has received $11m (£6.9m) of investment with which it plans to grow its business in the UK and overseas.

The subscription based buying website launched in 2010 and now has 600,000 members. In autumn last year the company announced an exclusive collaboration with pop star Cheryl Cole who designs her own footwear collections for the site, boosting the profile of the website.

It received an initial $8m (£5m) funding from venture capital firms Accel Partners and Index Ventures last April and has now received a second round of funding from venture and growth capital investor Fidelity Growth Partners Europe.

Chief executive officer Felix Leuschner said: “Stylistpick is growing very quickly, and we’re eager to take the business to the next level. The round of funding from Fidelity, Accel Partners and Index Ventures will allow us to scale our operations and expand into new markets. The three investors share our vision of building the next generation online fashion company, and we’re very excited to be working with them.”
