Social shopping site Styloko.com has appointed Orla Barrett as its new marketing director.
Barrett joins the company from menswear retailer Mr Porter where she held the position of global marketing manager. She also previously worked as a product marketing manager for Google.
Commenting on the move, Barrett said: “Following my experience of launching Mr Porter this role provides a fresh challenge and I look forward to communicating Styloko’s visionary features to a new audience.”
Styloko’s co-founder Ivailo Jordanov said that Barrett’s background in fashion and technology meant that she “immediately understood” the company’s vision.
He added: “Our aim is to deliver a new kind of shopping and discovery experience, consumers are setting trends and curating their own online boutiques from which others can follow and become inspired to shop and share. Orla’s role will be to find innovative ways to introduce more shoppers to the convenience of the Styloko experience.”
