Superga opens second London store

Italian footwear brand Superga has opened its second UK store on London’s Newburgh Street.

The store, which is just off Carnaby Street and has already opened, aims to showcase the brand’s range of men’s, women’s and children’s footwear by keeping the interior minimal. The store is all-white with touches of red to act as a blank canvas for the shoes with shelving fitted along the wall to keep the store clutter-free.

The opening is part of a major expansion of the brand in London.  Earlier this year, Drapers reported that Superga is seeking  400 – 1,000 sq ft stores in Mayfair, King’s Road, Portobello Road, Regent Street and Spitalfields. Its first store is in Covent Garden.

The expansion comes as the brand revealed singer Rita Ora as its brand ambassador for spring 13. Model Alexa Chung fronted campaigns for the brand for the past two years.
