SuperGroup interim CFO becomes permanent

SuperGroup has announced its interim chief financial officer Nick Wharton will remain with the business on a permanent basis, effective immediately.

Wharton joined the Superdry parent company in February this year following the departure of Shaun Wills, who stepped down after news of his personal bankruptcy came to light, which was later annulled in April.

SuperGroup chairman Peter Bamford said Wharton has had a “highly positive impact” during his time in the interim role.

“His deep financial management skills and broad retail and business experience will be great assets to SuperGroup,” he added.

Wharton was previously the chief executive of Dunelm.

SuperGroup will publish its 2015 full year results on July 9.
