SuperGroup to expand into the United Arab Emirates

SuperGroup, the young fashion business which owns brand Superdry and chain Cult, has signed a franchise agreement to open a string of Superdry stores across the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

SuperGroup has signed a franchise deal with Dubai-based Al Khayyat Investments to open 13 Superdry stores across the region over the next three years.

The first store will open in Dubai’s Deira City Centre complex this July, with two more set to open before the end of the year in Dubai’s Mirdif City Centre and Mall of the Emirates.

SuperGroup chief executive of its wholesale and international division Theo Karpathios, said: “We believe this deal will significantly increase our footfall in one of the world’s most dynamic and vibrant regions. It underlines the truly international appeal of the Superdry brand and we look forward to working with Al Khayyat Investments going forward.”

SuperGroup has opened shops in Australia, Belgium, France, Scandinavia and the US over the past two years.
