Supplier Coppernob posts sales surge

Supplier Coppernob delivered a surge in sales in its last financial year as the company worked to eliminate inefficiencies.

Sales at the company, which supplies retailers such as Tesco and Evans, rose 29% to £20.5m in the year to the end of May 2012. Coppernob also ended the year with £1.7m cash in the bank.

Owner Gifi Fields said in the last year the company has worked to eliminate inefficiency across its customer base and has also produced pop-up brands to help create a point of difference. The company has also increased staff count by 15%.

Fields added: “Exports to Europe continue to advance and trade remains tough and challenging, but we continue to rationalise while expanding our UK business with a focus on working with well managed efficient retailers and distributors.”
