Tech start-up backed by New Look founder seeks funding

A tech start-up backed by New Look founder Tom Singh and former Google managing director Dan Cobley has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs to raise £800,000.

Bijou Commerce provides retailers with apps that integrate into their existing platforms via plug-ins. It will use the money to fund its expansion and platform development plans.

Venture capital firm Blenheim Chalcot is another investor in Bijou Commerce.

Singh said: “The easiest way to generate incremental revenue is to get your most loyal customers to spend more. It’s clear that on mobile, apps are the best way to do that, and Bijou’s platform is the best way for retailers to get an effective app quickly.”
