Ted Baker is to release a refreshed version of its US ecommerce site today (August 1).
The website will represent an update to Ted Baker’s initial stateside etail venture, which launched in October 2010.
The premium British retailer is planning to roll out the redesign across its international websites, with the US site the second to receive the revamp after the UK. It said sales on the redesigned UK site rose by 48% in five months after it was launched in January.
Ted Baker said the aim was to create a more “engaging and witty” etail offering, including more use of editorial content.
The in-house team has extended and localised the website, which was designed by Poke, tailoring it to a US audience and offering improved operations between the site and its local warehouses.
Craig Smith, Ted Baker brand communication director, said: “Everything produced under the Ted Baker name has his personality. At Ted Baker we work really hard to provide the best customer experience. Ted’s presence in the US is growing exponentially and a new website in this region will help to consolidate our international presence.”
