Sovereign Centros has been given the green light to develop 70,000 sq ft of fashion retail space at Telford Shopping Centre, as the latest stage of a £200m investment in the site.

The development will allow existing tenants to relocate to bigger stores, as well as attract new retailers alongside a new entrance from Northfield Street.

The new stores will be ready for occupation in summer 2018.

Telford Shopping Centre offers 1m sq ft of retail and leisure space. Anchor tenants include House of Fraser, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and Primark, while the centre is also home to stores such as H&M, Zara, New Look, Topshop/Topman, Next, Monsoon, River Island and JD Sports.
