Temperley London plans diffusion line

Designer label Temperley London is poised to launch a diffusion collection.

It is understood the spin-off label will be called Alice and that designer Alice Temperley and her husband, Lars von Bennigsen, the company’s chief executive, have been in talks with London department store Harrods about stocking the range.

The diffusion line is likely to have a lower price point than the catwalk collection and will be aimed at a younger market.

Temperley London will show its mainline collection at London Fashion Week’s new presentation space in Somerset House on September 21. The brand returned to LFW last year, following five seasons showing in New York.

The brand said at the time the return to London was part of a stronger focus on its English roots and it is thought the diffusion line will further draw on this heritage.

Temperley London has four standalone stores in London, New York, Los Angeles and Dubai. It is sold in 35 countries and has more than 220 stockists.
