Temperley names new chief executive

Temperley London has named Ulrik Garde Due as its new chief executive.

Garde Due, who was previously vice president of Celine and senior vice president of international sales at Burberry, has been tasked with turning the British brand into a global lifestyle label.

He replaces co-founder of the business Lars von Benningsen, who will remain a major shareholder and act as an executive director on the board.

Garde Due said: “Lars and the team have built a terrific brand platform and when I met Alice I immediately understood her incredibly creative acumen.

“We now need to leverage her talent fully as well as the unique position of aspirational, timeliness and chic British lifestyle. With the team, we will exploit internationally all the great opportunities that the Temperley brand represents.”
