Tesco appoints UK finance director following record loss

Tesco has appointed Bruce Marsh as its new UK finance director, as it looks to turn around fortunes after suffering a £6.4bn loss.

The former group strategy director of Kingfisher is being brought in to replace Carl Rogberg who left in December 2014, according to Sky News.

Rogberg was one of around nine Tesco executives, including UK managing director Chris Bush and group commercial director Kevin Grace, who were suspended and later resigned amid an investigation into the supermarket chain’s profit overstatement.

Marsh, who has previously held roles at Dixons Retail and McDonalds, is expected to join shortly.
