Tesco's board shake-up continues as Gareth Bullock retires

Tesco has made further changes to its board, bringing in Unilever’s Byron Grote to replace non-executive director Gareth Bullock, who will step down tomorrow (March 5).

Bullock is leaving the board of the troubled supermarket to “devote more time” to his role on the board of Tesco Bank, where he will continue as a non-executive director.

Grote will join the board as a non-executive director on May 1. Grote is currently a non-executive director at Unilever, where he used to work alongside Tesco’s chief executive Dave Lewis. Lewis moved to Tesco in October 2014.
